Dr. Yu Hsian Tsai
President and CEO
Dr. Tsai has over 30 years of experiences in semiconductor industry. He has served in TSMC and UMC as a Vice President, and was responsible for technical development, wafer manufacturing and design services. After UMC, he joined AU Optronics Corporation, a global leader in TFT LCD manufacturing, as the VP of production management. Dr. Tsai holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
Mr. K. H. Jao
Director, Foundry Service Division
Mr. Jao has over 16 years of experiences in semiconductor and MEMS industry. He joined APM in 2001 to set up the automated MEMS facility, and was managing the process integration team for the development of MEMS production technology. He has served as the director of Foundry Service Division and been in charge of MEMS manufacturing since 2007. Mr. Jao holds a Master degree in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University in Taiwan.
Dr. Jerwei Hsieh
Director, Research & Development division
Dr. Hsieh has been working in MEMS field since 1996. He received his MS and PhD degrees in Power Mechanical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, and conducted his postdoctoral research as a visiting scholar at EE department in Stanford University, USA. Before joining APM in 2007, he worked as an associate researcher in Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC), National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL), Taiwan. Dr. Hsieh holds several US and Taiwan patents and has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers. He serves as the TPC (Technical Program Committee) of Microprocesses and Nanotechnology Conference since 2006, and the TPC of IEEE Sensors 2010 conference. He is also the reviewer of Sensors & Actuators Journal and IEEE sensors Journal.
Dr. M.D. Tseng
Director, Marketing&Sales division
Dr. Tseng has served over 25 years in Material & Chemical Research Laboratories and Green Energy & Environment Research Laboratories of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan. Before joining APM, he has been the general secretary of Corrosion Engineering Association of the Republic of China and is the Program Chairman of Taiwan branch of National Association of Corrosion Engineering (NACE) until now. Mr. Tseng received his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He also owned several Taiwan patents and has published over 30 papers and 5 technical books in Material and Electroplating Technology.

Mr. Tseng is also the chairman of Unimicron Corporation, the largest PCB substrate company in the world. In 2007, Unimicron Corporation became a major share holder of APM, and transformed it into one of the world's largest independent MEMS foundries. Before Unimicron, Mr. Tseng served as senior vice president in United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and was the chairman of Taiwan Printed Circuit Association. Mr. Tseng holds a master degree in physics from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and was elected as the distinguished alumnus of the National Tsing Hua University in 2009.
Dr. M. S. Lin
Founder & Honorary Chairman
In addition to APM's Honorary Chairman, Dr. Lin is currently the chairman of MEMS Committee in Semi Taiwan. Prior to APM, he was the executive vice president at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan, and the professor & chairman in electrical engineering department at National Tsing Hua University. He has also been invited as the Member of Science and Technology Consulting Committee in Taiwan's Presidential Office. Dr. Lin received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the National Osaka University in Japan.
